一、讲道理
“讲道理”时通常采用“因果分析法”，即分析原因和结果：
先分析事物的基本原因， 例如用以下句型说明其基本的或者多方面的原因：
例1 Why ... ?
For one thing... For another.。。
例2 The answer to this problem involves many factors。
For one thing...For another...Still another.。。
例3 A number of factors , both physical and psychological affect ... /both individual and social contribute to.。。
在分析了基本原因之后， 再补充一个次要的或者更重要原因：
例1 Another important factor is.。。
例2...is also responsible for the change/problem。
例3 Certainly, the...is not the sole reason for.。。
还可以分析某事物可能造成的后果或者带来的影响：
例1 It will produce a profound/far-reaching effect/impact on.。。
例2 It involves some serious consequence for.。。
“讲道理”时多使用一些“启，承，转，合”词，如：therefore，because，responsible for，account for和“程度递进词”如： then，thus，moreover等。(在第一篇第二章“句子的表达”的最后附有作文中常用的“启，承，转，合”词)
